Salary: £90,000 – £105,000 per annum / £43.26 – £50.48 per hour based on 40 hours per week.

Further Details about the Role: As a Consultant Dermatologist it is required to participate in tele-dermatology and outpatient clinics and will undertake dermatological diagnostic and surgical procedures as well as autonomous prescribing for patients in a community clinic. The post holder will report to the Service Manager and the Medical Director and is responsible for delivery and supervision of all aspects of the dermatology service, in line with agreed aims and objectives. The post holder will drive best practice in overall patient care, efficiency, performance against service level KPIs, staff mentoring, liaison with external agents and suppliers and the wider community. The post holder will actively seek ways of reducing outgoings by new ways of working and motivating all the staff to deliver maximum efficiency. In partnership with the patient, and where appropriate the provider, agree a treatment plan in accordance with the diagnosis and prognosis of the condition.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Consultant opportunity to possess full GMC registration and Entry on the GMC specialist register in Dermatology or be eligible for entry (within six months of attaining Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) at the time of interview. MRCGP or equivalent is a must. Knowledge and experience of outpatient dermatology and management of acute dermatoses. Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Dermatology. Ability to offer an expert opinion on the full range of dermatological problems. To have a broad understanding of all elements of, and a commitment to the principles of Clinical Governance
