Consultant Endoscopist / Gastroenterologist, South East, Full Time, up to £120,000 + Benefits

Key Details: I am recruitment for a Consultant who specialises in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology to join a specialist healthcare provider to cover a range of sites throughout the South West. You must be on the specialist register for Endoscopy or General Surgery.

The Key Details are –

Location: South East – Braintree, Ipswich, Peterborough, Romford – Travel Expenses Included.

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 per annum / £51.28 – £61.53 per hour based on 37.5 Hours per week. Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday requirements.

Further Details about the Role: As a Consultant Endoscopist you will be supporting the clinical endoscopy team which provides endoscopy services across the community-based endoscopy units.

You will be required to perform colonoscopy, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and gastroenterology outpatient clinics for both NHS and private patients. Working as a senior member of the team you will form effective and collaborative working relationships with your team. The successful post holder will report into the Medical Director for endoscopy.

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Consultant opportunity to possess registration for GMC Specialist Register for Gastroenterology or General Surgery. It is a must to have accredited for delivering Bowel Scope activity. Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST. Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology drawing on substantial experience in the speciality. Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients. Ability to manage and lead a multiple team. Research capability and publication track record in Endoscopy. Evidence of sub-speciality training in endoscopy.
