Consultant Gastroenterologist/Endoscopist , Portsmouth, Full Time, Permanent, up to £120,000 + Benefits

Key Details: I am recruitment for a Consultant who specialises in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology to join a specialist healthcare provider who are based in Portsmouth You must be on the specialist register for Endoscopy or General Surgery.

The Key Details are –

Location: Portsmouth – within easy access via public transport or car.

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 per annum / £51.28 – £61.53 per hour based on 37.5 Hours per week. Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday requirements.

Further Details about the Role: As a Consultant Endoscopist you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS patients. You will be expected to deliver upper- and lower-day case gastroenterology services, principally carried out under local anaesthesia or without sedation. Working as a senior member of the team you will form effective and collaborative working relationships with your team. The successful post holder will report into the Medical Director for endoscopy.

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Consultant opportunity you will have full and specialist GMC registration as well as evidence of subspecialty training. In addition, you will have experience of working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions and the ability to offer an expert opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantial experience in the speciality. Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients. Ability to manage and lead a multiple team. Research capability and publication track record in Endoscopy. Evidence of sub-speciality training in endoscopy.
