Deputy Clinical Lead – Palliative Care, Swindon, Full Time, up to £36,000pa + Benefits

The Key details are – I am recruiting for a Deputy Clinical Lead To support and assist the Clinical and Deputy Clinical Lead in the effective leadership, management and coordination of the In Patient Unit, with shared responsibility for ensuring care is safe, effective, caring, responsive to people’s needs and well-led.

Location: Swindon – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum / £16.41 – £18.46 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.

Hours: Full Time available – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a Deputy Clinical Lead to provide nursing leadership within the clinical area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety in conjunction with the Clinical Lead. To act as a role model, teacher and supervisor for registered nurses and health care assistants and to manage, co-ordinate and effectively integrate the volunteer resource on the In Patient Unit. To oversee co-ordination of the day to day management of the clinical area to ensure patient’s needs are met in a timely and responsive way. The Deputy Clinical Lead is responsible for providing and ensuring that clinical nursing leadership for patient care and in multi-professional decision making is in place, and in the best interests of patients and their families.

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Deputy Clinical Lead to possess a full without restrictions NMC registration. Experience of working within a community or specialist palliative care field. Evidence of professional development within specialist palliative care. Specialist palliative care qualification or willingness to undertake. Teaching or mentoring qualification. Management or leadership qualification or certificate, or willingness to undertake. Experience of working with patients and carers with mental health and learning disability needs
