The Key details are – I am recruiting for a Healthcare Provider who is actively looking for a Lead Emergency Nurse to join their Urgent Care Centre located in South London. You will manage the nursing team and play a full role in the overall UTC Management Team.
Location: South London – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per annum / £21.53 – £24.61 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Hours: Full Time available – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a Lead Emergency Nurse to undertake a senior clinical position as a highly specialised and autonomous practitioner. The successful applicants will undertake assessment and treatment of patients in the UTC who may present with complex and/or chronic illnesses and/or injury to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate discharge as indicated as well as maintaining patient records. To work with the Service Manager and UTC Lead GP being responsible for managing, organising and promoting the needs of the service. To work with the UTC Lead GP and Service Manager to meet the Clinical Governance needs of the UTC; including investigation of incidents (including serious incidents) and complaints, sharing learning that arises from the investigations within the service with the UTC team.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Lead Emergency Nurse Practitioner to possess an NMC registration without restrictions. ENP or equivalent/mentorship course. EMP Minor Injuries and Minor Ilnesses course at Level 6/7. 2 years at Deputy / CN in an Emergency Department. Experience in General Practice / Walk – In Centre / Urgent Treatment Centre. Up to date knowledge of DOH and NICE guidelines. Teaching research / evidence based practice. Diagnosis and management of minor injuries including fractures, burns, lacerations, minor eye injuries, soft tissue injuries. Diagnosis and management of minor illnesses giving evidence based advise and management, and where required appropriate prescribing. Ability to work with and use PGDs. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with service users and the immediate and wider team organisational skills.
