The Key details are – I am recruiting for a Matron who specialises in Palliative Care to join this client and play a highly visible role in the organisation, accessible, authoritative and an influential specialist clinical leader for staff and patients and their families across all Hospice Services.
Location: Swindon – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum / £23.07 – £25.64 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Hours: Full Time available – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a Matron who specialises in Palliative Care to provide clinical and managerial leadership, acting as a role model to inspire and motivate and empower nurses, ensuring clinical competencies are maintained and practice is developed and maintained across the Hospice’s services. Ensure that Hospital to Home Services are delivered in a culture where clinical quality, service improvement and financial accountability are paramount. To play a key role with the Medical Director and Director of Services in reviewing and supporting ways of working to ensure an efficient, needs led approach to working that reflects the patient service’s strategy, across the whole palliative care pathway. Providing expert advice and influence within the Prospect Hospice and to external stakeholders to help shape workforce planning, delivery of safe staffing, business development, service reviews and future pathway planning.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Matron Opportunity will possess a full without restrictions NMC registration. Masters Level Qualification or Equivalent. Specific qualification in specialist palliative care and willingness to achieve Masters. Non-medical prescriber. Leadership or management qualification. Patient Assessment and Examination Module (PACE). Teaching certificate. Knowledge of current National Palliative Care guidance and initiatives. Specialist palliative care experience with substantial experience working at CNS level. Experience and operational understanding of delivery of specialist palliative care across sector
