Nurse In Charge – Palliative Care, Swindon, Full Time, up to £36,000pa + Benefits
The Key details are – I am recruiting for a Nurse In Charge To support and assist the Clinical Lead and Deputy Clinical Lead in the effective leadership, management and coordination of the In Patient Unit. The post holder will provide nursing leadership within the clinical area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety in conjunction with the Clinical Lead.
Location: Swindon – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum / £16.41 – £18.46 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Hours: Full Time available – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a Nurse In Charge who is The Nurse In Charge is responsible for providing clinical nursing leadership for patient care and in multi-professional decision making, in the best interests of patients and their families. The prime purpose is to be responsible for all aspects of patient care including assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care and to supervise the nursing care given to patients on the ward, ensuring that care is patient centred and evidence based. The Nurse In Charge will also effectively role model the delivery of care and promote excellence through practice, ensuring that staff and volunteers are giving high quality, compassionate, and effective service to patients and families on a day to day basis.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Deputy Clinical Lead to possess a full without restrictions NMC registration. Experience of working within a community or specialist palliative care field. Evidence of professional development within specialist palliative care. Specialist palliative care qualification or willingness to undertake. Teaching or mentoring qualification. Management or leadership qualification or certificate, or willingness to undertake. Experience of working with patients and carers with mental health and learning disability needs
