Operating Department Practitioner – South London, Full Time, up to £42,000 + Benefits
Key Details: I am actively recruiting for a Operating Department Practitioner to join a private healthcare provider located in South London. You must possess a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and can offer support to the families visiting.
The Key Details are;
Location: South London – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum / £18.46 – £21.53 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday – However Saturdays will be introduced in the future.

Further Details about this role: I am looking to recruit a passionate and experienced ODP to join a Private Hospital located in South London. You will be required to support patients before, during and after surgery. This will include assessing them after surgery to make sure they can be taken back to the ward. You will usually work within an anaesthetic, surgical or recovery team. Your day-to-day duties will include:
* preparing the operating theatre and equipment
* making sure specialist equipment is available for specific procedures
* monitoring theatre cleanliness
* ordering and rotating items of stock and drugs
* providing the surgical team with the items they need during an operation
* monitoring instruments
* keeping accurate records
You will receive coaching and mentoring role if you’re based in a department with trainee ODP’s. You will need to ensure appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this ODP opportunity to be confident, proactive and demonstrate a desire to continuously develop. It is a must for you to possess a HCPC registration without restrictions, extensive Perioperative experience and be used to working in teams with minimum supervision. It is a must you hold a recognised qualification within anaesthetics. You must be flexible and be able to work shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends. You will take part in the on-call rota for anaesthetics.
