Sexual Health Specialist Practitioner, Chester, Full/Part Time, up to £37,000pa + Benefits

Location: Chester – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park

Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum / £17.43 – £18.97 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. ( Negotiable depending on experience )

Hours: Full Time and Part Time available

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a sexual health practitioner to provide a comprehensive contraception and sexual health service to the local population in clinical and non- clinical settings working as an autonomous practitioner. To take responsibility for day to day management of clinics, ensuring a timely quality service is delivered and providing high standards of patient care. Issues methods of contraception and treatments for sexually transmitted infections according to Patient Group Directions & clinical protocols including counselling for and management of complex problems with contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices with appropriate referral to the doctor as necessary. Insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and removal of intrauterine devices following appropriate training. – Further key responsibilities available within full job description.

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Sexual Health practitioner to be educated to degree level within the field of integrated sexual health. Ability to demonstrate a highly skilled knowledge, understanding and ability to apply new research evidence and established theory into clinical practice. An understanding of how beliefs, values, emotions, culture, social environments and other conditions affect models of intervention and patient participation. Knowledge of health, healthcare and social service agencies related to specialties of physiotherapy and orthopaedics. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing. Always demonstrates empathy. Knowledge of NHS frameworks, policies and practices. Patient record systems / choose and book.
