Specialist Oncology Nurse, Buckinghamshire, Full Time, up to £35,000pa + Benefits

The Key details are – I am recruiting for a Specialist Oncology Nurse to join a Private Hospital located in Buckinghamshire who have a cancer care center on site on a permanent basis. This unit has been completed to a high spec with modern and contemporary design it enjoys the benefits to up to date modern technology with private parking.

Location: Buckinghamshire – within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum / £15.38 – £17.94 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.

Hours: Full Time available – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Further Details about the Role: I am looking to recruit a Specialist Oncology Nurse who will be required to plan the specialist services for both inpatients and outpatients. You will take the lead across specialist services in agreement with Executives Directors and Clinical Services on initiatives to develop and modernise effective patient centred pathways from diagnosis to discharge. You will be required to supervise and provide nursing care to cancer patients, you will monitor condition, develop care plans, develop symptom management protocols and administer medication. You will do cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to the cancer patients. You will provide supportive resources on the patient and the families to promote positive outlook. You will teach patients and families regarding treatment expectations.

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Specialist Oncology Nurse opportunity to possess a full without restrictions NMC registration. It is a must that all applicants have completed the Chemotherapy Course and experience working in Oncology. Excellent Clinical knowledge which is evidence based. Excellent communication skills. Up to date knowledge in area of practice. Clear DBS and able to obtain excellent references.
