Ward Manager, Central London, Permanent, up to £52,000 pa + Benefits
Key Details: I am working with a Private Hospital located in C. London who is actively seeking an Ward Manager to join their busy Surgical team located in their high spec and modern unit. As a clinical Manager, you will provide leadership within your team whilst promoting a patient-focussed service, ensuring the provision is cost-effective and to the highest standards of patient safety
Location: Central London – within easy access via Train, Bus and Car with carpark.
Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 per annum / £24.61 – £26.66 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week – Monday to Friday occasional requirement for weekends, nights.
Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details about the Role: The successful candidate for this position will be required to work as an expert practitioner and will be responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the patients. Day-to-day line management of the team, allocating work and assessing performance of the team members objectively against set criteria/competencies, and lead in the recruitment and retention of the department. To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients’ families. This was specialising in surgical patients so a strong clinical surgical background is required.
Person Specification: The successful applicant will demonstrate extensive experience in orthopaedics and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratios. Must possess NMC registration without restrictions. Extensive experience at Band 6 or above in relevant role. Experience of working with and leading teams, motivating and empowering them to deliver excellent standards of patient care. Able to supports less experienced / junior staff to respond to feedback in positive manner setting objectives as required.
